Kaohsiung Destination Marketing Organization Inaugural Meeting

On September 7, 2022, the Kaohsiung Destination Marketing Organization Inaugural Meeting was held by the Maolin National Scenic Area Headquarters of the Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications (hereinafter referred to as Maolin National Scenic Area Headquarters). The Kaohsiung Destination Marketing Organization was jointly and officially announced to be established by the Minister of Transportation and Communications, the Director of the Tourism Administration, the Vice Mayor of Kaohsiung City, the Director of the Maolin National Scenic Area Headquarters, the alliance leaders of the Kaohsiung Destination Marketing Organization, as well as representatives of various local industry groups and associations.

"Kaohsiung Destination Marketing Organization" integrates tourism resources of Kaohsiung City and three townships in Northern Pingtung to create a brand of Kaohsiung Destination Marketing Organization based on the concept of "Mountain - Sea Flow".

The Minister of Transportation and Communications said that Kaohsiung Destination Marketing Organization can expand the market by integrating marketing and publicity, and that he is looking forward to the future development of the Kaohsiung Destination Marketing Organization, and that the new concepts of green environmental protection and sustainable tourism are the future direction of the Kaohsiung Destination Marketing Organization. With the digital transformation of tourism, combining big data, AI, AR/VR and Metaverse, we can achieve effective and precise marketing. The Ministry of Transportation and Communications would cooperate with all the tourism industries in the Kaohsiung Destination Marketing Organization to set up dedicated websites and tourism maps to promote high-quality tourism and build an international brand.

The Director of Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications said that he expects to continue to deepen the development of Kaohsiung's tourism through "branding" and "digital value-added" and to share the fascinating local elements with more domestic and foreign tourists.
